Wine Tasting at the Dining Bar
Good Afternoon Everyone!

Join us at Hanna Bistro every Wednesday from 5:30-7:30pm for a wine tasting at our dining bar. This week, January 3rd, we will feature five wines. Stop after work for a splash of something new and exciting!

This week we are featuring premium wines at great savings!! The wines available are the 2004 Sanford Chardonnay, 2005 Hall Sauvignon Blanc, 2004 Buehler Chardonnay, 2004 Rocca di Castagnoli Chianti Classico, and the 2003 St. Hallett "Faith" Shiraz, Australia.

2004 Sanford Chardonnay
"This Chardonnay is a blend of grapes from La Rinconada, Sanford & Benedict, and Bien Nacido Vineyards. This crisp, well structured Chardonnay is a good example of our "house style." The wine has bright tropical fruit notes with underlying minerality. Part barrel fermented and part tank fermented, the oak is in the background and helps to support the fruit rather than overwhelm it."

2005 Hall Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley
"Hall is pleased to release the alluring 2005 Sauvignon Blanc, This wine, selected from three premier Napa Valley vineyards, shows the fresh aromas of grapefruit, lime and melon along with subtle floral notes. The palate is noted by deep textural characters and richness that lead to long, refreshing finish which is the “HALLmark” of our Sauvignon Blanc. This racy acidity provides the perfect pairing for a number of summertime dishes, including grilled halibut, sautéed shrimp and shellfish of all types."

2004 Buehler Chardonnay, Russian River
"The 2005 Russian River Chardonnay spotlights the floral/lime quality of the fruit aromas and accents them with toasty, graham cracker sur-lie qualities. The mouthfeel is creamy and full but the natural acidity of the Russian River fruit carries this velvet textured package to a long, clean finish."

2004 Rocca di Castagnoli Chianti Classico
"Fumé infused raspberry fruit, with cherries emerging in the background and an elegant structure of fine tannins carrying this wine to a length and balance rarely found in today’s Chianti Classicos."

2004 St. Hallett "Faith" Shiraz
"Faith Shiraz is a wine rich in colour with lifted spice and cherry notes on the nose. These characters follow through onto the palate which is rich and warm with sweet-cherry lifted fruit and soft smoky, toasty flavours that come from American oak maturation for 18 months.

This wine is best enjoyed with red meats, casseroles, pasta and cheese and will cellar well for five to eight years from vintage."
